Types

Most jacks for travel trailers are either hand crank jacks or electric jacks

Hand Crank Jacks

  • Quite simple to use, just turn crank to bring up or down

Power Jacks

  • Also quite simple to use, usually just one button to bring jack up or down. Sometimes there is another button for a light
  • Note: It is preferable if you can use a jack plate or piece of wood for stability

Stabilizing Jacks

  • Usually on the bottom four corners of the trailer. These are either cranked down manually or cranked down with a wireless drill (easiest method). Some trailers are also equipped with power jacks.
